CORE TEAM

The Computer Museum Society (CMS) is a registered society founded by Dr. B. Govindarajalu along with eight other senior professionals, in the year 2019, with the main objective of promoting establishment of Computer Museums in INDIA. The Chennai Computer Museum (CCM) is the first Computer Museum Project of CMS.

The Executive Committee of CMS  comprises of a team of Academicians and IT Professionals headed by  Dr. B. Govindarajalu, a former professor of Computer Science, an author, technology consultant, and an entrepreneur.

CMS is supported by a number of reputed senior Professionals in the Honorary Council of Advisors & Honorary Council of Technical Experts. Mr. Ajay Bhat, Intel Fellow, and Dr. San Murugesan, a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society, IETE, and IICA, and a Golden Core Member of the IEEE   are among the advisors. Dr. M. Anantha Krishnan, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University is a Patron supporting the CMS.

Dr. B.Govindarajalu

Retired Professor of Computer Science & Engineering (Founder cum First President of CMS)

Dr. B.Govindarajalu is the founder president of the Computer Museum Society. After working for 15 years in main frame maintenance and Microcomputer development at IIT Mumbai and ORG Systems, Vadodara, he founded Microcode, an IT firm specializing in PC hardware and networking training and OEM repairs, and trained nearly 10,000 engineers. The book “IBM PC AND CLONES: Hardware, Maintenance and Troubleshooting,” authored by him, is one of the earliest publications on Chip level analysis of Personal Computer hardware.

He later served as Dean / Director at several institutions, such as Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Dhanalakshmi College of Engineering, Sri Ramanujar Engineering College, and Alpha College of Engineering. He has taught Microprocessors, Computer Architecture, Computer Networking, and Embedded Systems.

Dr. B.Govindarajalu graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Trichirappali, and M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering by B S Abdur Rahman University for his research work and thesis on Enhancements to RISC Architecture for Portable Embedded Systems. 

Venkatarangan Thirumalai

CEO, Little Feet Services Pvt Ltd (Vice President-CMS)

Venkatarangan Thirumalai is a white space leader and a technology entrepreneur with over two decades of experience starting, growing and selling a company that operated in India, USA and UK. He is a Microsoft Regional Director (Honorary) from 1999 and an IEEE Senior Member. He is an advisor with APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation – House of Kalam, Rameswaram.

One of the areas he is passionate about is Tamil language computing and as Former Chairman of International Forum for Information Technology in Tamil (INFITT) he conducted the Tamil Internet Conference 2010 in Coimbatore for Tamil Nadu Government. He encourages entrepreneurship through his association as a Charter Member of TiE Chennai and through mentorship programs in IEEE. He is a board member of the IEEE Computer Society Madras Chapter.

Sampath KUMAR Thirumalai
Vice-President , Global Delivery Head, Tech Mahindra (Secretary-CMS)

Sampath has over 30 years of experience in several diversified industry verticals such as Manufacturing, Electronics, Telecom, Printing & Publishing, IT outsourcing, Global Delivery and IT services. Establishing stronger connect with the CXO organization and solving their business challenges by offering a unique blend of IT & Business solutions is his forte. He is adept at handling large service delivery engagements that has presence across multiple geos.

He currently manages global business from a Large Global Automotive OEM, one of the largest automotive customers and top strategic account for Tech Mahindra along with Aerospace & Defence business units in his portfolio. Some of his key focus areas include relationship management, revenue growth and global spread, solution identification, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. 

H.R. Mohan

Chairman – ACM Chennai, Fellow CSI, Former AVP – Systems, ‘The Hindu’ (Board Member, CMS)

Mr. H.R. Mohan is a seasoned IT professional with over four decades of experience in ICT field. He has seen the growth of Computing in India and has been a part of the IT Community through various technical associations such as Computer Society of India (National President 2014-15), IEEE Computer Society (Chairman, of Madras Chapter 2006-15) and the Association of Computing Machinery – ACM (Present Chairman) 

Mr. Mohan is a graduate of IIT Madras. He has served as the Associate Vice President of Systems at the India’s National Newspaper, The Hindu, where he was instrumental in the digital transformation. He is well known in the Information Technology professionals circle. He is a Fellow and Past President of the Computer Society of India, Senior Member in IEEE and Senior Member and current Chairman of ACM Chennai.  He has represented India in international forums such as ICANN, IFIP, and SERACC. 

Mr. Mohan manages a number of eGroups relating to his professional activities and interest and also assists non-profit organizations and institutions in managing their websites. He has organised over 1000 events and delivered over 300 presentations across the country in the areas of his interest such as Information  and Communication Technology, Open Source Software, Software Engineering, Smart Technologies including Internet of Things, Big Data & Analytics, eGovernance, Digital Transformation etc.

Muthu Pulikesi

Independent Education Consultant (Board Member, CMS)

M.Pulikesi has over 35 years of industry experience in IT including software project 

management and mainframe software programming training. He has worked for large multinational Fortune 500 corporates as end clients like Liberty Mutual and handled various senior positions in CTI, Datamation, DSQ and Benchmark softech Limited.

His experience includes the entire technology spectrum from IBM Mainframes to Microsoft. Having handled large IT projects, mission critical maintenance projects across a large technology, he was responsible for his team of program managers, architects, technology specialists and delivery teams who worked closely with the clients to ensure the highest level of program execution, technical integrity and delivery of quality solutions across different geographies.

Several hundreds of his students are working in various corporate companies across the globe in various positions. Currently he is an independent computer education consultant.

C. Rajkumar Madhuram

CTO, C1X Inc. (Board Member, CMS)

Rajkumar is the CTO of a Silicon Valley Startup called C1X Inc. He has more than 20 years of experience in developing software and leading teams. Former Principal Engineer at Yahoo Inc., Sunnyvale, where he helped build an end-to-end native advertising system in record time. Winner of many hackdays and programming contests, including a worldwide challenge for Eclipse plugin. He is passionate about emerging technologies and its applications to improve society.

G. Chandrasekaran

Managing Trustee, SUKA Foundation (Board Member, CMS)

G.Chandrasekaran has more than 25 years of senior administration experience in various reputed IT organizations such as ORG Systems, Aurelec Data Processing Systems, Mythri Marketing Pvt Ltd., and Microcode Consultants and had been The Chief of Operations in The Sunsea Group in the service of Overseas Educational Consultancy.

He is the Founder and Managing Trustee of SUKA Foundation pursuing research in the field of fundamental sciences and also in the field of nature friendly agriculture. He is also a Program Manager and Organizer of cultural events for more than 25 years for Shri Ariyakudi Music Foundation along with The Indian Council for Cultural Relations, a Central Government Organization into promoting the arts of rich heritage, and to encourage hundreds of eminent and young artists.

He has also served as a project consultant for various NGO organizations working in the grass roots for revamping the social fabric.   

Raju Sambandam

Founder and Proprietor, Raysoft Technologies (Board Member, CMS)

Raju Sambandam is an Electronics Engineer by Profession with a PG Certification (IOT) in BITS. He had worked for a decade in IT industry in the areas of Hardware, Networking, Software and Marketing prior to his own start-up as a Technopreneur. He now carries more than 3 decades of Solid experience in several areas of business and assists several companies to bring about a digital transformation with an Umbrella of IT/ITES Services. He is also a Volunteer (Technical Advisory Committee Group) for TOCICO Organization.

He founded Raysoft Technologies, an IT/ITES company, in 2000, with the core intention to bring about a fundamental change in our society by providing meaningful, long term career employment opportunities to educated youths. Raysoft is now an 110+ workforce organization catering to its overseas clients in the areas of Web App Development, BPO/ITES services, Digital Marketing & IT Consultancy Services.

His passion is to provide employment as he believes that there is no great joy than employing people and taking care of them and their families.

Dr Radhakrishnan Ramaswami

Wing Commander (EC Member, CMS)

Commissioned in IAF in Aeronautical Engineering ( Electronics) in the IAF in Jul 1973 and served for 22 years till Feb 1995, took premature retirement from the IAF as Wing Commander.

Started as Electronic Engineer maintaining fighter (Sukhoy S 22) aircrafts in a squadron. Later after a short tenure in SAM III Missile Squadron switched to computer systems in the iAF.  Set up Computer systems in AN 12 Aircraft Base Repair Depot , Defence Planning staff (Ministry of Defence). Before retirement was Chief Engineering Officer of a Flying Wing managing the Airfield , Navigations and Radar systems.

After retirement from the IAF, in 1995,  Partnered Software Tech Park start ups with my ex Air Force Colleagues, in NCR. The start up companies were ERGO Electronics, ERGO Software, and ACME Technologies  over a period of 9 years.

These start up companies were involved in design and production of engineering prototypes for OKI, Toshiba, Sony of Japan. Specialized in Embedded systems, providing these companies hardware and firmware solution using their 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers.

In 2004, Switched to Academics to promote Embedded technology in colleges.

As Director, Dean, Professor in Private Engineering Colleges in Ghaziabad. Set up a number of incubators in colleges to enable students to become entrepreneurs with projects in embedded systems.

Since  2015 Devoting time on activities of family Charitable trust started in 2009.
