The general body of the CMS includes as members both professionals and representatives of IT Industry and Institutions interested in supporting the objectives of the Society. The executive committee forms the board of directors consisting of elected representatives of the general body and industry with provision for Government nominee. Standing committees and task forces are formed as per the requirement. The CMS board is supported by a panel of Honorary Advisors and Consultants. For the Chennai Computer Museum, first of it, a detailed project report has been prepared by the Project Consultant, Mr K G Kumar, Former Director General of NCSM & Director, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bangalore. Dr. M. Anantha Krishnan, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University is a Patron supporting the CCM.

The CMS has engaged Mr K G Kumar, Former Director General, NCSM and Former Director, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum & National Gallery of Modern Art, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India as the Project Consultant for developing the CCM.
He has more than 38 years of experience in establishing, operating and administering Science Centres and Science Cities in India and abroad. He has done extensive work in science popularisation also in rural and urban areas. He was a faculty for the MS programme on Science Communication an off campus program of BITS, Pilani. He has several publications on various aspects of museum & Science centre management.

Dr. M. Anantha Krishnan

Dr. M. Anandakrishnan obtained his Ph.D in Civil Engineering (1960) from the University of Minnesota, USA and was Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT, Kanpur (1963 to 1974). He was the first Science Counselor at the Embassy of India Washington, D.C. (1974 to 1978). He served in the United Nations Centre for S&T for Development, New York from 1978 to 1989 and later as Vice-Chancellor of Anna University for two terms from 1990 to 96.
His honours and awards include Padma Shri from the President of India (2002); The Order of Scientific Merit from the President of Brazil (1996); Distinguished Leadership Award of the University of Minnesota (2003); Honorary Fellow of the Indian Society for Technical Education (2005); UGC National Swami Pranavananda Saraswati Award in Education (2006); Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) from Kanpur University (2008); Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India and Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India.

Dr.K.M.MEHATA

Dr.K.M. Mehata has got his Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and he was Professor & Dean, School of Computer, Information and Mathematical Sciences at B S Abdur Rahman University from 2009 to2016 after superannuation from Anna University where he served as Professor & Director for the department of Computer Science and Engineering for thirty years. He was also the Director, Centre for Professional Development Education for four years where he was instrumental to develop university and industry partnerships with Microsoft, IBM, CISCO and Intel. He is currently a Senior Professor ,School of Computing Sciences, Hindustan University, Padur, Chennai. He was invited by Microsoft Redmond USA three times for Microsoft Faculty Research Submit at Redmond.
During this period he guided more than twenty doctoral candidates and published about 70 research papers in subject areas of Image Processing, Computer Networks, Software Engineering, Web mining and Medical Informatics. He is currently guiding 10 doctoral students.
He is referred in World Who’s Who. He is an expert member for AICTE, National Board of Accreditation, DRDO, MHRD and other universities’ academic council and board of studies.
He initiated several academic programmes such as M.Tech (Software Engineering) , M.Tech (Multimadia Systems), at Anna University and M.Tech (Prective analytics) and M.Tech Software Engg) at B S A University. He was instrumental in getting funds from UGC for COSIST, DRS.DSA projects for the Dept Of CSE of Anna University.

Dr. San Murugesan

In a career spanning over four decades in academia and industry, Dr. Murugesan lead successfully several innovative IT projects, provided leadership in research and development, and offered consultancy to business. His expertise and interests span range areas and includes AI, cloud computing, Internet of Things, green IT, IT applications, IT for Emerging Regions, Healthcare IT, smart systems and technology and society. He was a Senior Research Fellow of the US National Research Council, at NASA Ames Research Center, California, USA. Previously, he served in Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore for 19 years and contributed to early India satellite programs.
He served on editorial boards of reputed international publications. He is awarded IEEE Computer Society’s the second highest service award, Distinguished Service Certificate.

Mr. Bhushan Mohan
He is a veteran and a visionary leader in area of Management and Information Technology with a focus on implementation of large Information Technology based projects which deliver benefits to the common man. He has contributed extensively in areas of policy formulation, strategic planning, business development, solution conceptualization, technology assessment and deployment, programme management, human resource development and customer support/services and has been actively involved in various large
projects of national importance.
He is presently a freelance Consultant and mentor to various organizations in area of e-Governance, IT and training. He was retained as an Advisor to one of the world’s leading consulting company, PriceWaterhouse Coopers Ltd. (PWC). Earlier he worked as Principal Consultant, Ministry of Electronic & Information Technology, Government of India. He was responsible for formulation of policies and strategy for implementation of National e-Governance Programme (NeGP) with a vision to bring public services within reach of every citizen. He was responsible for advising, monitoring and supporting various government departments in areas of project conceptualization, appropriate technology induction, capacity building and change management for implementation of mission critical projects for delivering citizen centric services in the remotest corner of the country.
Prior to this he was CEO of a leading Singapore based organization in the telcom area and had set-up the first integrated SIM Card manufacturing plant in India.
He started his career with multinational giant IBM in early seventies as a Customer Engineer with a passion of providing highest level of maintenance & support services to the customers. He later moved on to a leading public sector company CMC and continued to provide support services on various Systems deployed in mission critical projects. In his long career with CMC he served in various positions covering various areas of management and handled numerous IT projects of national importance. He was closely associated with IT initiatives taken by Indian Railways and was the prime mover for implementation of prestigious ‘Freight Information and Operations System’ (FOIS) for Indian Railways. He was also responsible of introduction of IT and Computerization in various core sectors like Steel Plants, Oil & Petrochemicals, Mining, Power, Defence, Telecom, Financial Services and other areas in Government.
He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and Advance Management Programme from MDI, Gurgaon.

Mr. Jagdees has vast experience in executing huge projects in Civil Construction in addition to Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation related projects in India and abroad. His experience profile includes bridge construction, Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection, Equipment Foundations, Thermal Power project, Executing a 2.70 M.G.D. Tertiary Treated Water R.O. Plant, 7M.L.D. Sewage Water Treated R.O. Plant, Multistoried Residential Complex, and Ceramic Factory, Jagdees completed his graduation in Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Trichy and started his career as part of the design team for Pamban Road Bridge (located near Rameshwaram). Later he has worked for leading industrial units such as BHEL Trichy, NTPC Ltd at Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Project, PreFab-Gratings Ltd Hyderabad, Sheth Builders, Mumbai, Nuchem Weir Ltd., Faridabad, C.E.C.L ., (Murugappa group company), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Coromandel Engineering Company Ltd. Presently he is doing honorary consulting of certain selective works.

Dr. Sundaresa “Mani” Subramanian
Vice President – Modeling and Simulation Technology, Quest Global Engineering
In his position as a VP, Mani serves in the key role of technology development and application of
advanced Modeling and Simulation methods across all of Quest Global and geographical
domains. Quest provides advanced engineering solutions to many companies and has over 17000
engineers in many countries around the world. Mani has a major responsibility in developing
efficient global operations and execution of high-end engineering analysis projects.
Mani served as President and CEO of ASE Technologies, Inc., in Cincinnati, Ohio and had been in
that position for fifteen years till the company merged with Quest Global Engineering in 2008.
Mani also has 14 years of industry experience with GE Aviation in Cincinnati, Ohio and with
Honeywell Engine Systems, Phoenix, AZ (formerly Textron Lycoming in Stratford, CT) developing,
applying and validating customized software for aerospace propulsion applications.
Some of Mani’s key accomplishments were in developing and applying advanced 3D analytical
methods for the design and performance improvements in aircraft gas turbine engines and high-speed propulsion systems including planetary entry/reentry applications. Mani obtained “Turning
Goals into Reality” award from NASA for his pioneering work on multi-stage aerodynamic
analysis and modeling of modern aircraft engines. In 1985, Dr. Subramanian spent one year at
NASA Glenn (formerly Lewis) Research Center, Cleveland, OH as an Industry Visiting Scientist, a
first of a kind arrangement between an aircraft engine company and NASA.
Dr. Subramanian is an active member of major professional societies. He is a Fellow of the
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and an Associate Fellow of the American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
